NPI Engineer to Tobii

The NPI (New Product Introduction) group at Tobii works in a creative environment and consists of multi-skilled persons in mechanical, electrical and software design. We are now looking to expand our team with yet another creative and multi-skilled team member! If you enjoy working in a high paced, cross functional and global environment this is the job for you!

As we are a global organization with three very independent business units this job will put high demands on your ability to communicate and co-ordinate work tasks and projects with stakeholders around the world.

The development is driven in multi-functional and international teams. Our responsibilities span across development and sustaining activities. We are involved in all phases of development projects and need to engage in manufacturing, engineering and life cycle management questions.

The role and responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for the internal and external capability, capacity and quality of new products or post release changes of products with respect to suppliers, manufacturing and test equipment. This will apply throughout the product life cycle.

Your days will be filled with

  • Developing and implementing manufacturing test strategies and equipment
  • Working closely with Original Design manufacturers (ODMs), Contract Manufacturers (CMs), and suppliers to prioritize and tackle problems
  • Supporting engineering builds through full production
  • Design electronics in test cabinets and test setups
  • Analyzing processes and data to identify and implement yield and performance enhancements.

We are looking for someone who has

  • A university degree in engineering
  • Experience in production development, electrical and mechatronics design
  • Deep knowledge in test setups and test development
  • Worked in Linux and/or other Unix-environments
  • Fluency in English, both verbal and in writing

We find it to be a strong merit if you also have knowledge in different manufacturing processes!
