The Traveling Account Manager is responsible for the execution of the Education Team sales strategy and programs for all accounts across our education business in North America.

Your days will be filled with:

  • Proactively prospecting for, acquiring, and developing accounts across our education business located within North America
  • Developing and executing strategic sales plan in line with management objectives
  • Presenting, demonstrating and selling our full line of products and services, both in person and virtually
  • Building trusted advisor relationships with accounts, stakeholders and decision makers
  • Creating, nurturing, expanding and closing sales opportunities to attain quota
  • Fostering a team approach with AAC Solutions Consultants to provide a total portfolio approach to account development
  • Ensuring customer account fidelity, documents/maintains account data, sales activities, account and opportunity development, and feedback daily using CRM/Salesforce.com
  • Preparing presentations, quotes, proposals, and sales contracts
  • Coordinating support for customers across all internal departments
  • Attending National/Local conventions as assigned to support proactive customer meetings and other vendor hall activities
  • Developing network of customers via email and social media campaigns
  • Mastering and maintaining Tobii Dynavox and competitors’ product and sales knowledge
  • Assisting with high severity requests and/or issue escalations as needed
  • Proactively leading a joint company-strategic account planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones for a one and three-year period
  • Communicating clearly the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholder including the forecasting of sales and the development of key account metrics
  • Meeting or exceeding assigned annual goals, sales targets, corporate initiatives, and KPIs
  • Achieving strategic customer account plans and objectives as defined by company management
  • Maintaining high customer satisfaction ratings that meet company standards
  • Completing required training and development objectives within the assigned time frame
  • Other duties as assigned

To be successful in this role and at Tobii you need to be a positive go-getter.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent; degree or experience in education/special education/speech pathology/occupational therapy or other therapeutic degree preferred
  • Proven account management or other relevant experience
  • Minimum 5 years sales or account management experience in the education/technology space

Skills needed to be successful in this position:

  • Ability to effectively communicate, present and influence credibly and simultaneously at all levels of an account
  • Experience in delivering client-focused high-tech enterprise solutions based on customer needs
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail
  • Experience/familiarity with AAC or alternative access for people with disabilities is a plus
  • Software as a Service (SAAS) experience preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite products
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Well versed and experienced in virtual communications and presence
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Fluency in social media
  • Ability to travel within North America both by air and car and travel within assigned territory 60% of time
  • Possession of a valid state driver license and insured motor vehicle
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced, competitive environment
